Coping With Anxiety – The Options

When you have a condition that you need to live with every day, you have to learn how to cope. There are various mechanisms for coping with anxiety that have been used by people, so you should learn about them if you have recently started suffering from this annoying condition. Most of the techniques used for panic attacks and anxiety are just those that people have discovered after living with this for a while, but now you can actually use them so that you don’t have to suffer in silence and unnecessarily. Coping with anxiety is a lot like coping with stress. Anxiety and panic attacks are caused by stress and when you are in stressful situations. While some panic attacks can be mild and the ordinary passer-by would never even realize, some people can have nasty attacks that end them in the hospital. This is normally because the anxiety attack could mimic a heart attack, with feelings of pain in the chest, tightness in the chest, and not being able to breathe. Other symptoms include getting dizzy, feeling numb and tingly, and general overwhelming sensations. Some people get rid of stress by doing sports and exercise. This is because endorphins are released when you work out which make you feel happier and less stressed out. So, one way to cope is to exercise each morning and perhaps during your lunch break at work if you are having a particularly stressful day. One final note about coping with anxiety is to not think about it all the time. If you keep thinking that you will get a panic attack, then you will. It is all about mind over matter, and as stress is partly psychological, you can stop getting anxiety attacks by just focusing your mind and not letting things get to you. If you feel stressed out, thinking that you are going to get a panic attack, will stress you out even more and could actually set it off. Rather think about something else, go for a walk, splash your face, take a herbal remedy to keep calm, and anything that you find works
