Panic Disorder Symptoms

Article by Lauri Wright

There are 3 panic disorder symptoms. which may have a very considerable effect on your wellbeing if left unattended.

So often nowadays we are all in a mad rush just to get by it is easy for our anxious feelings to become swept to one side and left. Generalized anxiety can quite easily escalate to include the odd anxiety attack which in turn become regular occurrences and before we know it we now have an anxiety disorder.

Recurrent panic attacks

Anxiety attacks are extremely common and when you ask your friends if they have ever suffered one then they would probably say yes. If however you are suffering from more frequent or repeated episodes then it is likely that what began as a general anxiety with an occasional panic attack is developing into a panic disorder. So this is the very first very important warning sign to check for.

Major changes in your routines

Because you are enduring more frequent panic or anxiety episodes you start to wonder just when the next one is going to happen. You may be out shopping or driving a car or maybe at work. You may have suffered one in the exact same setting as previously on several occasions. If this is the case you would naturally try to avoid that situation because you are uneasy that another attack might happen and this is the last thing that you want. You will therefore find that you begin to avoid certain places or situations. You may find that you are staying at home rather than going out with your family and friends.

Continual anxiety that another attack may happen

You will be feeling extremely anxious most of the time in between these attacks and you are worried about having to go through yet another episode in the near future. What you will find is that the constant anxiety has a huge impact on your daily life. You may feel totally drained and your lose confidence in yourself.

The best thing that you can do is to gather as much knowledge and information that you can so that you understand exactly what is going on. Understand the process of escalation from general anxiety through the occasional panic attack to a serious panic disorder so that you can prevent this from happening or if necessary find a way to treat it.
